Hi there,

Today, I had to remove some code from your MediaWiki:Common.js file. This code added a counter to your "number of articles" box that registered the number of hits for the entire wiki.

While this tool is interesting and we would have normally been open to it, the problem is this counter was provided by a site called sitemeter.com, which has a less-than-ideal privacy policy and may have thus collected unauthorized information about visitors to your site.

This violates our Privacy Policy and thus our Terms of Use and was removed.

While I understand the desirability of the tool, I urge you to rememeber one saying common in the internet sphere - 'There's No Such Thing as a Free Lunch'. Free code and tools are never truly free.

  Well, it's done this ever since the Kid vs. Kat Wiki got into the Wikia Spotlight. So, that's probably the problem too. Do you think you can help, since your the admin of everything, because it's really irritating on how someone has to erase this everytime they edit something, then if you don't erase, then it'll all post right to whatever someone's editing.
